Swindon

Working for a very progressive and thriving business, you will report into the Marketing Manager and be responsible for planning and implementing campaigns for in-house events and coordination and planning of external events.  You will be responsible for developing leading marketing initiatives to promote course across the UK and Europe.
Key Objectives
The main driver of the above is to retain and attract customers through the various marketing channels, using strong communications skills, with a flair for writing innovative copy and with great attention to detail. Your role will also be to maximise profits through developing sales strategies that match customer requirements and by promoting the above to build on their key USP’s within the marketplace.
You will be confident working to deadlines, a team player and passionate about events, communications, and training. You will also be well organised and enjoy getting immersed in the veterinary profession.

Key Roles & Accountabilities:
 
  • Overseeing and developing marketing campaigns utilising the whole of the marketing mix
  • Developing and executing key messages and promotional activities to showcase the above areas
  • Writing and proofreading creative copy
  • Maintaining websites and looking at data analytics
  • Building digital marketing ads, utilising Facebook, Google and Bing
  • Monitoring event performance and also marketing campaign performance and providing reports with return on investment, ensuring adherence to budget
  • Planning and maintaining all our digital channels to drive online traffic, digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO, email, social media
  • Conducting research and analysing data to identify and define insights to further market position
  • Compiling and distributing financial and statistical information working closely with key stakeholders as to how campaigns are progressing and developing ideas to improve further
  • Devising and presenting ideas and strategies to build medium to long term plans
  • Assisting with the organisation and attending events and exhibitions
  • Managing and reporting budget information
 
Profile:
  • Degree level or equivalent education
  • 2+ years general marketing experience and digital marketing
  • Experience of managing social media platforms and optimising engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven background in data analysis and interpretation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience of email marketing using Mailchimp or similar marketing platforms
  • Web content management skills using WordPress or similar web platforms
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to use initiative and take ownership and responsibility for driving marketing ideas forward
  • Ability to travel within the UK to support in-house and external events
