- Description
- Studio Lead – Customer Experience Agency
- Highly regarded global agency
- Helping well-known brands strengthen their consumer relationships
- Opportunity to work with some of the best minds in the South West
- Industry leading benefits, development and progression opportunities
The role of Studio Lead is to ensure the delivery of creative work on time, and to budget, across the agency. This involves ongoing scoping out and planning of projects, process enhancement, scheduling and management of internal and 3rd-party resources - to meet client and internal expectations of cost, timings and quality.
- Have a clear understanding of our agency process and how best to adapt it depending on timings, budget and client requirements.
- Work with Project Management and Client Services to plan/schedule projects in a proactive, not reactive, manner – ensuring a bigger picture of the weeks and months ahead is of foremost thought.
- Ensure a Resourcing presence in project kick-off meetings, to ensure visibility/clarity of tasks from the offset.
- Prioritise and juggle resource when fast-track/unplanned projects arise.
- Organise/schedule creative WIPs to ensure the right people are seeing work at the right times. Hold non-attendees accountable.
- Ensure creative sign-off of work is structured, consistent and timely from the Creative team.
- Prioritise projects/deadlines to avoid using external resource wherever possible.
- Identify agency bottlenecks and suggest solutions/escalate where necessary – playing back solutions to your line manager and Client Services.
- Make ongoing recommendations on how to improve the process/efficiency/resource/structure of the Creativedepartment.
- Work closely with the Commercial Team and Senior CS to minimise agency freelance costs.
- Measure brief timings and monitor creative time allocation.
- Manage all freelance requirements, including relevant supporting admin and process management.
- Operate a tightly managed freelance tracker across the Creative department.
- Monitor all cancelled bookings and report back to Managing Partners and the Commercial team bi-weekly.
- Work closely with the ECD, ACDs and wider creative discipline leads: be the eyes and ears of the Creative department – spotting potential personnel issues and blockages.
- Work with the ECD/ACDs and creative discipline leads to ensure projects align with all Creative’s development and training needs.
- Be super-organised. This is a vital role within the agency and unless you are one step ahead at all times, the ‘machine’ can grind to a halt.
- Be positive. You’ll come across a lot of problems, complaints, issues and pressures. Remain pragmatic and upbeat – and never take it personally.
- Be solution-focused. It’s too easy to discuss what cannot be done. You will need to gain everyone’s trust by continually doing everything possible to find solutions.
- Be observant. You will be dealing with many agency folk on a daily basis. You will hear everyone’s gripes and successes. Know how to handle this and raise issues, behaviours or unhelpful patterns when needed.
- Previous Resource and/or Project Management experience in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Knowledge of Creative processes as well as Digital process from conception to delivery.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
- The ability to establish a strong relationship with all parts of the agency, from Creative to Client Services; Project Management to Planning
