Cirencester
Salary- upto 35k + benefits
50/50 home & office working
We are looking for an experience Power BI Analyst to join a leading agency based on the outskirts of Cirencester.
Joining within a newly created position, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and implementing Business Intelligence reports for the agencies clients. You will be conducting analytical and data projects, interpreting analytical solutions.
You will creatively visualise what your client needs, producing impactful and insightful reports.
This isn’t a back office role- you will be regularly liaising with key stakeholders and data teams across the business, matched with regularly communicating with your clients, delivering key projects on budget and on time.
Key Responsibilities…
- Manage and deliver high quality training on BI reporting software to clients as well as work colleagues
- Agree BI and analysis specifications with clients, showing an ability to understand their commercial needs and operational capabilities, and translate these into project requirements
- Manage the delivery of BI reporting and analysis projects, acting as a point of contact for client liaison throughout the project lifecycle. Work directly with clients and with internal account and technical teams
- Identify BI project opportunities with new clients and as well as opportunities to expand the scope of work with existing clients. Work with technical resources to design and model the data systems to support BI applications
- Design optimal and cost-effective BI solutions to meet agreed requirements and enable clients to meet their business objectives
- Develop strategies for various BI solutions, analytics platforms, and reporting
- Provide functional and technical guidance across the business on BI design, development,
- Stay updated with ongoing developments and latest trends in Business Intelligence
- Conduct the analysis to deliver high quality analysis work to the client, sense checking all numerical output, results, and recommendations
- Conduct client analysis using appropriate tools and techniques
- Lead on analysis & Power BI projects, conduct or manage sections of work and deliver presentations consultancy, and training workshops
- At least 2 years experience of working in a similar Power BI role
- Strong knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Power BI is essential
- Intermediate- Advanced Excel skills are essential
- Knowledge of SQL Server (writing queries, creating views) for creating analytical datasets is essential
- Ability to creatively visualise and tell a story with the data- able to think outside the box!
- Interested in all things Data and Business Intelligence- proactively seeking further insight/knowledge
- A passion for working with data, attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, and an ability to summarise key findings in simple terms
- Marketing/Data/Statistical qualification desirable
- SPSS, Python, R or SAS experience would be desirable
- Use of PowerPoint to create impactful slides and charts
- Experience of FastStats software would be a real asset, but is not essential
