Account Director – Customer Experience Agency

As Account Director for this well know agency, it is your responsibility to lead a household name brand and seek out work that delivers marketing and commercial results by developing an engaged, high performing team, brilliant creative work and the ability to effectively leverage data. The Account Director consistently achieves excellence in delivery by identifying, understanding and exceeding Client needs.
 
Ideal Experience

  • Customer Engagement focused agency, so candidate must be able to demonstrate this as a core competence ie experience of leveraging data and insight into journey mapping, channel and touchpoint optimisation and creation of full brand experiences both on and offline
  • 3+ years in an AD role at a previous agency or be able to demonstrate strong proven agency management and leadership skills across multiple business areas
  • The nature of the client accounts mean we require someone who has a good proven track record in organic client growth, finding opportunities at the slightest hint and chasing them down relentlessly. This should be demonstrated in previous roles.
  • Conversant with online channels (ie digital, display, native advertising, social media, etc as well as strong CRM (email) and data planning/management knowledge). Be able to demonstrate this experience across a couple of previous roles
  • Not afraid to challenge client briefs, agency planning/strategic thinking and/or the way things are currently done, if it results in better output overall
  • Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment (always to a high standard) and be able to work with agility across multiple business areas, making smart decisions and providing direction at pace.
  • As the team lead, based part from office, will be responsible for managing 2direct team members (2 x SAMs)
 
Commercial Experience

  • Commercially astute – they are familiar with agency financial management process as this will be a key part of the role
  • They need to be good with all elements of financial reporting (forecasting, managing retainer/client budget, prompt billing and other areas of financial control) as well as translating revenue and numbers into efficient team planning and resourcing requirements
  • Able to confidently communicate commercials to SLT on a regular basis (and address queries and requests quickly)
 
Relationship Builder

  • Strong but approachable character who is able to successfully manage internal and external relationship effectively, remaining professional at all times (ie able to hold their own with all senior client/agency stakeholders)
  • A natural people person – be approachable and friendly but give clear direction when required, with the focus on building and nurturing relationships, both internally at helia and partner agencies and with all client levels
  • An account lead who is also a team player, who supports every member of the team and will champion great strategic, data and creative work (ensuring it delivers commercially) and always ready to get stuck in and get things done
  • Line management responsibility as above
