Rocking Bee Recruitment is looking for an experienced Pricing Manager most likely from an Insurance or Underwriting background. With an excellent track record of driving a Company’s trading position, you will be ready to take our clients performance to the next level.
Reporting directly to the CUO, your experience as Pricing Manager from an Insurance of Underwriting background will enable you to effectively step into the role and make impact from Q1.
You will be working with a strong effective team across the Group of Company’s and will have substantial impact in shaping price and performance. This is an opportunity not to be missed and will suit proven experienced candidates from this sector looking for a more senior position.
Overview
- To actively manage the Company’s trading position to ensure profit and growth
- To pro-actively generate proposal for corrective pricing if performance does not align
- To create, implement, maintain, and enhance an effective pricing structure, ensuring the use of appropriate ‘best of breed’ techniques
- To substantially contribute to the evaluation and development of our long-term pricing strategy and performance in co-operation with the executive team.
- To ensure the strategy for external data enrichment is upper quartile for our marketplace
- To take ownership of all pricing data and MI assets across the business, ensuring all data is robust and a full suite of relevant MI is available and embedded across the business
- Continuous in-depth analysis of customer behaviour and reaction to price changes
- To regularly report on portfolio performance (risk and retail profit measures)
- To assess and communicate pricing risks and opportunities, and to maintain sufficient control systems that explain and mitigate risks.
- To take part in the pricing committee and to ensure that an appropriate level of governance exists for the Pricing function.
- To assist in managing our portfolio of products and to help shape and develop additional product propositions to help drive competitive advantage
- Network closely with other parts of the group, contributing as appropriate to the development and implementation of group-wide strategies to meet agreed organisational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales.
In addition, as the Pricing Manager you should be:
- Likely experience of working in or with Underwriting, risk and retail pricing functions
- Highly skilled in data manipulation, analytics and modelling
- Experience user of Excel, VBA, SAS, R
- Strategic perspective
- Excellent influencing and communication skills
- 2+ years personal lines insurance experience
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail
- Pragmatic problem solver
- Pro-active and energetic approach to solving business problems
